West Devon
West Devon is a region that includes Plymouth, the Tamar Valley on the Cornwall Border and Western Dartmoor. West Devon (Council) District does not include Plymouth, the regional centre is Tavistock.
West Devon is relatively quiet, sparsely populated and has some of the best countryside in all Devon. The western edge of Dartmoor near Tavistock is beautiful and nearby, the waterfalls at Lydford and the meandering, tidal River Tamar.
